Moaaz Tarar – ASDA

Hi, My name is Moaaz Tarar, this week I’ve joined Asda to start the 4-year Degree Apprenticeship Programme, specialising in supply chain leadership. I’m excited to be part of the Wakefield ADC team that keeps one of the UK’s biggest retailers running smoothly behind the scenes.

I’ve just completed my T Levels in Business, and I’ve always been fascinated by how organisations operate, especially the parts customers don’t see. I’ve gained hands-on experience helping run my uncle’s taxi firm, where I learned the importance of coordination, time management, and customer service. I’ve also led teams in fastpaced environments like stadiums and restaurants, which taught me how to stay calm under pressure and motivate others.

I’m passionate about leadership, logistics, and continuous improvement. I bring persistence, resilience, and discipline to every role I take on. I enjoy breaking down complex challenges into practical steps, whether it’s managing operations, solving problems on the fly, or helping a team perform at its best.

I’m looking forward to growing within the Asda organisation, learning from experienced leaders, contributing to real world projects, and building the skills I need to become a successful leader myself.
